A Bit About Me
Tunde M. Yussuf – Multifaceted Artist & Designer
Art has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember.
I started with pencil sketches, drawing inspiration from my imagination and the vibrant surroundings of my upbringing.
As my skills developed, I began experimenting with colour, exploring how form and texture could come together to create striking paintings.
My passion for artistic expression only grew stronger. In my twenties, I began part-time training in sculpture, manual screen printing, and sign writing. Years later, after moving to Ireland, I was introduced to glass fusing, pottery, ceramics, and jewellery making. Today, my main focus is on handcrafted jewellery and mix media art- glass, stainless steel, bronze and copper.
Alongside my creative pursuits, I completed a certified FÁS computer training course and a FETAC-certified teacher training programme in Ireland. I became an active member of the Meath Art Group, participating in numerous group exhibitions, as well as holding several solo shows in galleries, libraries, and public spaces.
Why! Art and Craft
.
Why! Art is a registered business name in Ireland.
At Why! Art and Craft,
I create handmade pieces that represent a unique Afro-Irish fusion—blending the bold colours and energy of African art with the intricate materials and patterns found in Celtic design.
The result is a distinctive, elegant style that celebrates both traditions.
